Outside my window... The backyard. I can see turtles in the creek.... and a guy mowing.

I am thinking... About my classes for BLAST tomorrow

I am thankful for... A flexible schedule

From the learning room... Most everyone is done with school today. I had a math test this morning.

From the Kitchen... Not much is happening there tonight. The kitchen is usually uneventful nights before BLAST class.

I am wearing... My dark Skinny Kick Jeans, a comfy tee, barefoot, my silver cross ring, "diamond" stud earrings. My hair is straightend.

I am creating... Mmmm. I'm working on a few things...

I am going... Nowhere tonight. I had to go to the college this morning.

I am reading... My bible - psalms, proverbs, and I Peter. I'm not currently reading any books (looking for one to read) but I'm kinda reading a play by Oscar Wilde (same guy who wrote The Importance of Being Ernest) but I can't really get into it...

I am hoping... I can get my classes planned quickly and have a nice evening and an early night.

I am hearing... The lawn mower. Actually, it just stopped. I can hear the kids in the other room.

Around the house...  Everyone is busy doing something. Lots of us aren't home. Most people are getting ready for classes tomorrow.

One of my favorite things... Earl Grey Tea. I'm crazy over it. Did you know its Prince Charles' favorite blend? He has great taste. I need a cup about now...

A few plans for the rest of the week... Tomorrow is BLAST. Saturday is shopping. Sunday is a rest/catch up on unfinished things day. And all the next week is just full of normal week day stuff - school, homework, errands, gym, etc.

Unfortunately, now that I go to school on Thursdays, Thursday's aren't so very thoughtful. But I'll give it a go anyway.

 

 

 

Outside my window... Empty computer labs.  

I am thinking... About babysitting tonight

I am thankful for... Excedrin

From the learning room... About to go to math class

From the Kitchen... I don't think this counts but I had a chicken salad spinach wrap from the campus cafe?... I made muffins and homemade pizza yesterday!

 (But the cat got in the house and ate all the pizza....)

 

I am wearing... Darkish colored jeans, a brown cami, a white/see through blouse with brown designs, three silver rings, brown boat shoes

I am creating... This blog post

I am going... No where for now, math class later, and to babysit even later

I am reading... My bible and "My heart in His hands"

I am hoping... For smooth sailing tonight and tomorrow

I am hearing... What is it that makes that humming noise in an empty room? Computer monitors? Lights? Whatever that is. And a guy rolling a cleaning supply cart down the hall.

Around the house... I'm not home so I couldn't say. But I would guess school and getting

ready for the evening

Thoughtful Thursday

Outside my window... Very green trees.

I am thinking... About everything I have to get down today. To name a few... Organizing all the books and papers in my bedroom, cleaning out and setting up the fish tank, preparing to install a new fridge, and working in the yard.

I am thankful for... Days like this. Productive.

From the learning room... At the moment my little sister is the only one doing school. She is working on grammar, I think. Everyone else is up cleaning the house.  

From the Kitchen... A new refrigerator. A friend bought it for us because our other one stopped working. What a blessing. God is good. Thank goodness for no more ice chests!

I am wearing... My jean shorts. I love these things. Perfect for summer. A pink and purple tye dyed shirt. Hair pulled up. And of course, my two silver rings. And as always... I'm barefoot.

I am creating... A pretty front yard. =)

I am going... Hopefully to get some new fish? And pick up some dinner.

I am reading... My bible. I have started II Chronicles and of course, reading my daily Psalms and Proverbs. I'm also reading through a book called The Power to True Success. Its a great learning book. You should look into it.

I am hoping... To finish everything I set out to accomplish today. Time is ticking.

I am hearing... The air condition and and people cleaning.

Around the house... Every one is busy. Some are doing school, some working on the computers, but most organizing and cleaning. The new fridge just got here. Also, everyone is all a buzz because our kittens were born last night. Two white ones and one that looks like a zebra. I'll post pictures.

One of my favorite things... A clean and organized room. And bookshelves. Bookshelves are one of my favorite things. <3

A few plans for the rest of the week... Nothing this week but the next will be busy!!

Thoughtful Thursday

Outside my window... Actually, I'm at a friend's house in the office and there are no windows in here.

I am thinking... About going home and getting ready for calsses tomorrow.

I am thankful for... The opportunities I have been given to help support my family.

From the learning room... No learning at this house today. =)

From the Kitchen... Nothing at the moment. But lunch was Spanish rice with black beans, corn, tomatoes, and cilantro mixed in. yum.

I am wearing... My new jean shorts (which are amazing), a maroon shirt, two silver rings (one on my ring finger the other on my thumb), silver earings, and once again, no shoes. My hair is loose and crazy.

I am creating... Nothing at the moment.  

I am going... Home is evening. There's no place like it.

I am reading... My bible. I'm finishing up I Chronicles and of course, reading my daily Psalms and Poverbs. Proverbs, by the way, has become my new favorite book of the bible. It talks so much of wisdom - my favorite new topic.  

I am hoping... To get a good nights sleep in my own bed tonight. Not that I don't like sleeping on couches at other peoples houses... ;)  

I am hearing... The air condition and two different tvs. The kids down stairs are watching the second hoodwinked movie and up here in the office the tv is playing Apollo 13. This movie Always.Makes.Me.Cry.

Around the house... The baby and Olivia are on the couch watching tv. The rest of the kids are chilling in the pool or covering the sidewalk in chalky pictures.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Almost nothing! Isn't that exciting?! I have class tomorrow but as far as I know my weekend is free. =)

Thoughtful Thursday

Outside my window... I see the driveway and the trees beyond it. It looks very still outside. There must not be any breeze. I'm sure if I leaned over a bit I could see my horse grazing.

I am thinking... About class tomorrow. Its our second to last BLAST class this year. I'm teaching about horses and services animals. I need to get busy planning...

I am thankful for... Daily Success by IBLP. I have recently signed up for the daily email encouragements. Check it out some time.

From the learning room... Lots of reading and planning going on.

From the Kitchen... Nothing at the moment. But I'm hungry. I wonder who is cooking tonight..?

I am wearing... A pair what I like to call my short safari shorts. Ha. They are just khaki. I'm wearing a maroon t-shirt. On it in yellow letters are the words Ourapostle Jesus Christ. I'm barefoot...again. My hair is twisted up and held in place by a little gold clip.

I am creating... A slideshow for my class tomorrow. Like I said its all about horses. Heh, needless to say I enjoyed making it.

I am going... No where. Thank goodness. Today is a stay at home kind of day.

I am reading... Very few things. From the bible I'm reading through Psalms and Proverbs as always and also I Chronicles. It was named Chronicles for a reason. I'm having trouble getting through all these genealogies... I am also reading a book called George Muller: Delighted in God by Roger Steer. Muller's story is one of my favorites of all time. What a faithful man.

I am hoping... To hurry and finish my lesson plans so I can have the rest of the day free.

I am hearing... The air condition and mumbling voices from the bedroom.

Around the house... It is busy but calm. Everybody is up to something different.
Mostly preparing for tomorrow.

One of my favorite things... The feeling of getting things accomplished.

A few plans for the rest of the week... I haven't really got any set in stone. Tomorrow, of course, is class. But other than that I'm not tied down to doing anything. Though I am planning a fewthings in my head.

Thoughtful Thursday

Outside my window... There are a lot of green trees. Very green trees. I'm looking up at the window and I can't see any sky. Just green leaves. It looks more like summer than in does spring.

 It feels more like summer too.

I am thinking... About getting another hour of sleep before heading out for the day.

I am thankful for... God's enduring mercy. Where would we be without it?

From the learning room... Two of my sisters are working on their school. The house is quiet. I'm sure the rest of the kids are around reading somewhere.

From the Kitchen... The smell of sugar and fruit. Freshly baked cakes. A lemon one. A pinapple one.

I am wearing... Comfortable clothes. A pair of old jeans and a blue Surfside shirt. Its a barefoot kind of day. My hair is curly and I'm weighed down in jewlery.

I am going... To babysit. I get to see my buddy Little Bill today. I get to spend the entire day with him and the evening with his siblings. I. Am. Excited. to see them again.

Around the house... Like I said, it is quite. Some kids are doing school. Others are doing laundry. Others are a work. Its a quiet kind of day.

One of my favorite things... Animals. This morning I went out to see the cows. There were plenty of dogs, cats and horses to see as well. What amazing animals.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Tomorrow I get to see Little Bill again. As for now the weekend is unscheduled. Monday I will probably get in a few hours at Moody Gardens. I miss my little feathered friends.

Too Cute!

The other day while shopping I wandered into a little store called Francesca's. It was the cutest little shop. It was full of clothes and jewlery and nick knacks all with a vintage look about them. It was too cute. I spent entirely too much time in there. Check out the website sometime. The dresses are darling. I just wish they had a little more length.
